Fushimi is the name of the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine.

Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine has a history of over 1,300 years.
It is the main shrine of the Inari Sacred Shrine, which is said to have 30,000 shrines throughout Japan.
It is famous for its “Senbon-torii” (1,000 torii gates) and is a popular sightseeing spot both in Japan and abroad.
 



 
The “Senbon-torii” (a thousand torii gates) are said to have been created during the Edo period (1603-1867), when people began to dedicate torii gates to pray for their wishes to be granted or to express their gratitude that their wishes had been granted.
The path of vermilion-colored torii gates is both beautiful and bewitching, and is sure to be mysterious to anyone who sees it.
 


 
Many people visit the main shrine and the inner shrine, take a picture at the Senbon-torii gate, and leave here, but if you come to Fushimi Inari Taisha, you should definitely go to the top of Mount Inari!
It takes about one hour from the main shrine to the summit. The round trip takes about 2 hours.
It is quite tiring, but it is worth the climb because you can see scenery that can only be seen in Japan.

Fushimi is known for its abundance of high-quality underground water, which has led to the development of the sake brewing industry and the production of locally brewed sake.
Of course, there are many stores where you can enjoy locally brewed sake in Otesuji Shopping Arcade.
Among them, we would like to introduce “Ginjo Sake Boutique Abucho”.
This sake shop stocks sake from all 18 breweries in Fushimi.

For those who want to compare sake in small quantities, we offer an oinoguchi size sake bottle.
You can try three different types of sake in a boar cup to suit your tastes. (160 yen to 1,290 yen per cup)
For those who want to drink more slowly, we also have glasses (270 yen to 2,290 yen per glass). (270 yen to 2,230 yen per glass)
Both are served with a set of toppings (200 yen).
